HCFCD Ordinary High Water Mark Manual

The HCFCD Ordinary High Water Mark (OHWM) Manual is a single-file PDF document that contains both general and specific OHWM delineation methods based on the USACE 1987 Wetland Delineation Manual (Environmental Laboratory 1987, the "1987 Manual"). This OHWM Delineation Manual is written specifically for the Harris County Flood Control District, and while it contains methodologies pertinent to delineating OHWMs for waters of the U.S. throughout the country, the manual focuses on typical situations present within Harris County, Texas and along the Texas Gulf Coast within the regulatory jurisdiction of the USACE Galveston District. Guidance in this manual pertaining to OHWM delineation is derived from federal regulations and consultation with the USACE Galveston District at the time it was written.
