Greens Bayou Repair Project is Underway

The Harris County Flood Control District has begun a $375,000 project to repair failed side slopes along Greens Bayou near Greenspoint Mall. The repairs, which will take place from Greens Road to 1,000 feet downstream, will restore that portion of the bayou to its original condition.
The project will correct several rotational failures that occurred as a result of heavy rains in the past. It should take about 40 working days to complete, weather permitting.
The repair work also will enable the Greater Greenspoint Management District to repair a broken hike and bike trail caused by the slope failure.
