Faulkey Gully Tributary Repairs Underway

September 17, 2006
The Harris County Flood Control District is currently performing a channel restoration project on a tributary of Faulkey Gully, about a half-mile west of the Treeline Golf Club in northwest Harris County. Over the years, the channel's banks have experienced severe erosion caused by the regular conveyance of stormwater and poor soil quality. The $185,000 project will repair the creek's banks and replace damaged outfall pipes. Construction will take place from the confluence of the tributary and Faulkey Gully near Sweet Song and Magic Falls drives, upstream to Drum Heller Lane. The project is expected to be complete in roughly two months, weather permitting.

Preparations are underway for restoration to the banks of this tributary of Faulkey Gully. Riprap (concrete) is in foreground.

> Faulkey Gully is in the Cypress Creek Watershed
