Vogel Creek Monthly Update

Phase II Excavation Project Long Creek Lane to South of Arncliffe Drive
Construction work is substantially complete at this time. We anticipate the contractor, Hard Rock Inc. to be completed by the end of October.
Ultimate Conveyance Improvement Project
Design
CivilTech Engineering has prepared 90% plan designs based on HCFCD comments from August. The updated design plans will be forwarded to the City of Houston for review and approval.
Utility Adjustment Work
HCFCD has issued purchase orders for all utility work (CenterPoint Electric, CenterPoint Gas and SBC) and the utility companies are authorized to proceed with adjustment work. New utility easements are being established in the field and this effort should be completed within the next couple of weeks. Once completed, each utility company will be able to proceed with the relocations.
Right-of-Way
To date, the Harris County Right of Way Department has acquired 7 of the 16 tracts needed for the Vogel Creek project.
Of those 16, eight are located within the Inwood Forest Golf Course. On September 28, a special commissioners hearing determined the amount HCFCD will pay the golf course, including both the property value for the eight tracts and compensation to the golf course for impacts during construction.
