Ultimate Conveyance Improvement Project
Design
The design of the project has been completed.
Bid and Award
On January 24, 2006, Commissioners Court approved HCFCD to advertise the Vogel Creek project for bids. We received seven bids on February 27th. HCFCD will evaluate the bids and make a recommendation to Commissioners Court to award the contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. We plan to submit the contract award recommendation to Commissioners Court on March 21, 2006.
Utility Adjustment Work
SBC is continuing their relocations and anticipates completing their work in the next few weeks.
HCFCD completed the easement documents and dedication process for CenterPoint Electric and Gas. New easements have been recorded in the County Clerks office and copies were transmitted to the utility companies on January 26th. Both utility companies are currently staking the proposed relocations and each have 90 days from January 26th to complete their work.
Right-of-Way
The County attorney is continuing to work with the Inwood Forest Golf Course to finalize the agreement on the commercial property needed for the Vogel Creek project.
Communication with Residents
A packet of information (letter, project schedule and brochure) was distributed to residents in the Vogel Creek area in February.
A postcard is planned for early May 2006 advising residents about project construction.
