November 15, 2022 – Harris County Commissioners Court approved a $797,298 agreement with an engineering firm for preliminary engineering and design services in support of projects under this Bond ID.

March 22, 2022 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized negotiation of an agreement for preliminary engineering, design, bidding and construction stage services for project under this Bond ID.

April 28, 2020 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized and initiated this Bond ID.


PROJECT DESCRIPTION 

The Vince Bayou Drainage Improvements project aims to reduce the impact of flooding throughout the watershed through what are expected to be multiple channel conveyance improvement and stormwater detention basin projects along the main stem of Vince Bayou, as recommended by the Vince Bayou Watershed Planning Study.

Stage

Preliminary engineering began in late 2022 to identify alternatives for potential channel conveyance improvement and stormwater detention basin projects to meet flood damage reduction goals. Channel conveyance improvements and stormwater detention were recommended by the Vince Bayou Watershed Planning Study, which was completed in 2021.
