Construction Update: Cypress Creek Watershed Drainage Repairs

In Fall 2021, the Flood Control District will begin construction in your area on a maintenance project that will address erosion issues along HCFCD Unit# K140-00-00 from Louetta Road to HCFCD Unit# K140-02-00 for approximately 4,840 linear feet and HCFCD Unit# K140-02-00 at the K140-00-00 confluence to 500 linear feet upstream.

In an effort to keep you informed about the Harris County Flood Control District’s continuing maintenance in the Cypress Creek watershed, we want to update you of a construction project.

Project Description
In Fall 2021, the Flood Control District will begin construction in your area on a maintenance project that will address erosion issues along HCFCD Unit# K140-00-00 from Louetta Road to HCFCD Unit# K140-02-00 for approximately 4,840 linear feet and HCFCD Unit# K140-02-00 at the K140-00-00 confluence to 500 linear feet upstream.

Construction equipment will access the work area via Louetta Road, Cane Creek Drive, Rogers Road, and Charter Ridge Drive.  Motorists are urged to be alert to truck traffic when passing near construction access points and along truck routes. Additionally, temporary trail closures along the channel will occur during construction. The Flood Control District appreciates your patience through the duration of this project.
