Construction on the Lauder Stormwater Detention Basin – Phase 2, Compartment 2 Project Begins Soon!

Construction crews will be accessing the site at Miranda Street and Maximilian Street. Residents are urged to respect all warning signs.

About this Project
Phase 2 of the Lauder Stormwater Detention Basin consists of two dry-bottom compartments. Phase 2, Compartment 1 was completed in Q2 2025. Compartment 2 is expected to provide approximately 260 acre-feet of additional stormwater storage — that is roughly the equivalent of 260 football fields covered in one foot of water.
A stormwater detention basin temporarily holds stormwater during heavy rain events to help reduce the risk of flooding in the area.
