June 6, 2020 – Harris County Commissioners Court approved a $40,000 agreement with the Department of the Army/U.S. Corps of Engineers, Galveston District in support of this project. Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the County Judge to execute the Non-Federal Certification of Financial Capability in support of this project.

May 19, 2020 - Harris County Commissioners Court approved new Bond ID added to the 2018 Bond Program List.

April 28, 2020 - Harris County Commissioners Court authorized an agreement with the City of Houston and Port of Houston Authority for a county-wide geomorphologic study of watersheds draining into the Houston Ship Channel, with the Flood Control District acting as lead partner with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the project.

March 24, 2020 - Harris County Commissioners Court approved the formation of a Sediment Working Group with the City of Houston and Port of Houston Authority in support of this project.

December 17, 2019 - Harris County Commissioners Court authorized negotiations with the City of Houston and Port of Houston Authority in support of this project.
