Maintenance repairs on

Bear Creek tributary U102-01-00

In November 2016, surveyors for the Harris County Flood Control District began work along a tributary channel of Bear Creek formally designated as HCFCD Unit U102-01-00. The field survey is in connection with an upcoming Flood Control District maintenance project along a 4,600-foot-long segment of the channel south of Kieth Harrow Boulevard. Evaluation has revealed numerous areas of slope and toe-line erosion, failed stormwater outfall pipes, and sediment and vegetation within the flow line of the channel.

In March, 2016, Harris County Commissioners Court approved RPS Klotz Associates as design engineer for this project, which is in the Addicks Reservoir watershed. The firm of Weisser Engineering & Surveying has been contracted to obtain survey data.
