F-76 Clear Creek Wetlands Mitigation Bank

Project Description

This is a wetland restoration project to create wetland mitigation credits that will be used to offset permitted wetland impacts caused by other Flood Control District projects.

Project STAGE

This project involving HCFCD Unit A700-01-00 is in the FEASIBILITY STUDY stage. This stage will result in the identification of a property suitable for wetland restoration and mitigation. Once a property is selected, the project will go into the next phase of RIGHT-OF-WAY/PROPERTY ACQUISITION.  Property acquisition will go to Harris County Commissioners Court for approval.

LOCATION

An exact location has not yet been determined. The project will be located somewhere within the Clear Creek or Armand Bayou watersheds.

BOND PROJECT LISTING

Bond Project F-76 is categorized as a “Local Only” bond project. This means there is no other funding partner at this time and total project costs would be paid with bond funding. The Bond Project List includes a total allocation for all stages and phases of this project of $6 million.
