January 10, 2023 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the acquisition of one tract of land for floodplain preservation.

May 10, 2022 – Harris County Commissioners Court approved purchase of a tract of land in support of this project.

May 10, 2022 – Harris County Commissioners Court approved an agreement with Harris County Precinct 3 for use of 2017 Harvey CDBG-DR funding in support of this project.

March 22, 2022 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the acquisition of one tract of land for the purpose of floodplain preservation.

January 25, 2022 – Harris County Commissioners Court has authorized the acquisition of nine tracts of land and two easements for the purpose of floodplain preservation.

September 28, 2021 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the acquisition of one tract of land for the purpose of floodplain preservation.

September 28, 2021 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized an 8-acre right-of-way easement to the Flood Control District for the Major Maintenance of Cypress Creek andTributaries project.

August 24, 2021 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the acquisition of one tract of land in support of this project.

October 23, 2018 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized and initiated this project

PROJECT DESCRIPTION 

Right of way acquisition along Cypress Creek for project support, to preserve channel conveyance and / or restore natural floodplains in areas subject to frequent flooding.
