Recent Action

November 15, 2022 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the acquisition of one tract of land in support of this project.

October 25, 2022 – Harris County Commissioners Court approved the supplementation utilization of funds from the Harris County Flood Reslience Trust in the amount of $3,00,000, in support of this project.

June 14, 2022 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the acquisition of one tract of land in support of this project.

August 10, 2021 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the Flood Control District to apply for a Texas Waters Development Board grant in support of this project

May 19, 2020 – Harris County Commissioners Court approved updates to project details in the 2018 Bond Program List. Update corrects precinct details from Precinct 1, 2, & 4, to Precinct 1 only.

September 24, 2019 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized and initiated this project

Public Information Session

A series of projects in the Halls Bayou watershed are included in two separate applications for federal funding through the Community Development Block Grant for Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) Program. The projects included are Bond Project IDs: C-01, C-23, C-24, C-26, C-28, C-30 and C-41. A virtual Public Information Session to discuss these projects was held on:
