The Flood Control District is Now Accepting Bids for the Dinner Creek Stormwater Detention Basin

Construction is anticipated to start in Q3 2026. The project has been officially advertised by the Harris County Purchasing Department, which is now accepting bids from qualified contractors to construct this flood risk reduction project. Before construction can begin, construction companies must submit proposals that outline how they will build the project and how much it will cost. The Flood Control District will review those proposals and select a contractor. Once a contractor is selected and contracts are finalized, construction can begin.
