Enhancing Our Local Ecosystem Upcoming Prescribed Burn at Greens Bayou Wetlands Mitigation Bank

The Harris County Flood Control District is committed to improving and protecting our local environment. As part of this work, we will be conducting a prescribed burn on approximately 40 acres of prairie within the Greens Bayou Wetlands Mitigation Bank (HCFCD Unit Number P700-01-00). This site is located just southwest of the intersection of Beltway 8 and Lockwood Road (see map for details).
