Project Description

The F-95 Tributary C144-00-00 Conveyance Improvements project seeks to reduce flood risks to the neighborhoods adjacent to C144-00-00, a tributary of Sims Bayou, between Fuqua St and Beltway 8. A feasibility study completed in 2020 analyzed flooding occurring near C144-00-00 and recommended the following improvements for Preliminary Engineering to reduce flooding risks:

  • Design and construct an additional culvert in conjunction with the Harris County Engineering Department
  • Determine required mitigating detention volume downstream of Anderson Road
  • Determine right-of-way needs
  • Design and construct a detention basin
  • Establishment of turf and landscaping

The Harris County Flood Control District has a significant number of flood damage reduction projects occurring all over Harris County as part of its on-going Capital Improvement Program (CIP), Operations and Maintenance, and the 2018 Bond Program.
