April 27, 2021 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized $363,360 for preliminary engineering services for this project.

February 9, 2021 - Harris County Commissioners authorized the negotiation of an agreement for engineering services in support of this project.

December 15, 2020 - Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the initiation of this project.

Project Description

This stage of the project involves the design and construction of improvements within Units O119-00-00 and O200-00-00. Bond ID F-109 was preceded by Bond ID F-39, which lead to the construction stage. This project will implement the investigation, design and construction of flood risk reduction improvements for the Spring Gully watershed. Construction will include multiple projects focusing on specific areas within the watershed.


The Harris County Flood Control District has a significant number of flood damage reduction projects occurring all over Harris County as part of its on-going Capital Improvement Program (CIP), Operations and Maintenance, and the 2018 Bond Program. The Harris County Flood Control District held a virtual Community Engagement Meeting for the Tributaries O119-00-00 and O200-00-00 Flood Risk Reduction Project located near the Highlands Reservoir in the Spring Gully & Goose Creek watershed. The purpose of this meeting is to inform residents about the status of the project and share project information.
