BAYOU AND CREEK UPDATE AS OF 10:30PM

The Harris County Flood Control District's Flood Operations Team continues to monitor heavy rainfall in east and central Harris County averaging 3-5 inches along I-10 to I-610. There is high water and street flooding in several areas throughout the county and flooding may have impacted some homes along Halls Bayou and Buffalo Bayou tributaries along Buttermilk Creek and Briar Branch.

Several bayous are near the top of banks, while Buttermilk Creek has overtopped its banks. 

The following are near bankfull:

  • - Briar Branch at Campbell Road
  • - Brickhouse Gully at Hollister and Costa Rica Road
  • - Halls Bayou at Airline Drive
  • - Little White Oak Bayou at Tidwell Road
  • - South Mayde at Greenhouse Road
  • - Tributary of Greens Bayou at Aldine Westfield Road
  • - Upper end of Little Cypress Creek at Becker Road

All other Harris County bayous and creeks are responding and remain within banks.
