Recent Action

October 12, 2021 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the acquisition of one tract of land for floodplain preservation.

March 9, 2021 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized $200,000 for environmental and other professional services in support of this project.

February 26, 2021 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the Flood Control District to acquire one tract in support of this project.
July 28, 2020 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized a tract for the Willow Creek right of way acquisition and floodplain preservation M100-00-00-R002 project in Precinct 4 for this project.
April 28, 2020 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized and initiated this project.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project involves right-of-way acquisition in the Willow Creek watershed to support flood risk reduction projects, to preserve channel conveyance, and/or to restore natural floodplains in areas subject to frequent flooding.
