Property Management Program
The Property Management Program (PRM) is responsible for the management of all District real property and associated buildings. PRM’s primary responsibilities are to identify deficiencies of the District’s channel and detention basin infrastructure, to define the scope of operations to be performed, and to prioritize repairs and cyclical maintenance within the available budget. This task requires PRM to analyze a massive drainage network in Harris County that encompasses 43,700 acres or approximately 68 square miles of right of way.
There are six integrated programs within the Property Management Program: Asset Management, Development Coordination and Inspection Section (DCIS), Property Rights, Community Services Section, Citizen Service Center and Building Management. In order for PRM to systematically analyze the District’s large system, the initial phase of investigation is performed by Asset Management.
