Recent Action

January 26, 2021 - Harris County Commissioners Court authorized a $480,000 agreement with an engineering firm for a feasibility study to investigate channel capacity and overland sheet flow issues and to determine potential improvements.

October 27, 2020 - Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the Flood Control District to negotiate an agreement for a feasibility study to investigate channel capacity and overland sheet flow issues to determine potential improvements in support of this project.

May 19, 2020 - Harris County Commissioners Court approved updates to project details in the 2018 Bond Program List. Update changes project title to remove reference to "CDBG" for consistency.

September 24, 2019 - Harris County Commissioners Court authorized and initiated this project.

Project Description

Currently underway, this feasibility study is evaluating the level of service for Tributaries P138-01-00 and P138-01-01 and the impact from Tributary P100-00-00 backwater on nearby flooded single-family homes. The feasibility study will then identify and evaluate potential flood risk reduction projects for the area.

Location

This project is located just south of Sandydale Lane in the High Meadows neighborhood of East Aldine.

Stage

This project is in the FEASIBILITY STUDY stage.
