May 11, 2021 - Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the acquisition of two tracts of land for the purpose of floodplain preservation.

December 1, 2020 - Harris County Commissioners authorized the acquisition of four tracts of land in support of this project.

September 15, 2020 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the acquisition of one tract of land for this project.

August 25, 2020 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the purchase of tract J100-00-00-36-008.0 in support of this project.

July 28, 2020 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized the acquisition of one tract of land for this project.

October 23, 2018 – Harris County Commissioners Court authorized and initiated this project

Project Description

Right of way acquisition along Spring Creek for project support, to preserve channel conveyance and / or restore natural floodplains in areas subject to frequent flooding.

The Harris County Flood Control District has a significant number of flood damage reduction projects occurring all over Harris County as part of its on-going Capital Improvement Program (CIP), Operations and Maintenance, and the 2018 Bond Program.
