December 17, 2019 – Harris County Commissioners Court approved an agreement with Harris County for revenue sharing under provisions of the Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act to acquire key properties along tidally influenced areas of Armand Bayou and to establish and fund a long-term countywide outfall repair program using future fund allocations.

Project description

Right of way acquisition along Armand Bayou for project support, to preserve channel conveyance and / or restore natural floodplains in areas subject to frequent flooding.

The Harris County Flood Control District has a significant number of flood damage reduction projects occurring all over Harris County as part of its on-going Capital Improvement Program (CIP), Operations and Maintenance, and the 2018 Bond Program.
