PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This study will establish a flood mitigation plan for the lower portion of the watershed, downstream of Dixie Farm Road. This effort is led by the City of League City with partner participation from several local governments, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Harris County Flood Control District.

Prior to the start of the first phase of the study, a series of public meetings were held in February and March 2020 for public participation and feedback.

More information on the Lower Clear Creek and Dickinson Bayou Watershed Study can be found on the City of League City’s website.

The Harris County Flood Control District has a significant number of flood damage reduction projects occurring all over Harris County as part of its on-going Capital Improvement Program (CIP), Operations and Maintenance, and the 2018 Bond Program.
