PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Planning, design, and construction of flood risk reduction projects in the watershed of Panther Creek, HCFCD Unit G112-00-00, in the San Jacinto River watershed.

As of September 2020, the study team has verified areas impacted by flooding and identified their flooding causes. Channel erosion was observed, categorized, and documented following a detailed field reconnaissance. Pipelines have been surveyed and incorporated into the study models to evaluate their potential impact on channel drainage. This concludes the existing conditions analysis and the study team is ready to begin the next stage of the effort: the alternatives analysis.
