HCFCD PROJECTS L500-06-00-E001, L100-00-00-E001 & L100-00-00-E002 BOND PROJECTS F-29 & F-26 The Harris County Flood Control District will hold a Community Engagement Meeting for the Mueschke East Stormwater Detention Basin and Little Cypress Creek Stormwater Conveyance Improvements projects. The purpose of this meeting is to inform residents about the status of the Mueschke East Stormwater Detention Basin and Little Cypress Creek Stormwater Conveyance Improvements projects and share project information.

The Mueschke East Stormwater Detention Basin and Little Cypress Creek Stormwater Conveyance Improvements projects are part of the Little Cypress Creek Frontier Program. The Little Cypress Creek watershed, which is experiencing rapid development, lacks sufficient natural drainage to accommodate expected growth. By collaborating with landowners and developers, the Frontier Program works to identify a large-scale, mutually beneficial plan for drainage that cost-effectively maximizes stormwater mitigation, flood damage reduction and water quality, as well as opportunities for public recreational amenities and open space. These projects will be partially funded through the 2018 Bond Program, which was approved by Harris County voters on August 25, 2018. Community engagement is an important component of the Bond Program, and we invite your participation as the program is implemented.
