VIRTUAL COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MEETING FOR THE S. RICE AND CHIMNEY ROCK BRIDGES AND MEYERGROVE STORMWATER DETENTION BASIN

The Harris County Flood Control District will hold a Virtual Community Engagement Meeting for the S. Rice and Chimney Rock Bridges and Meyergrove Stormwater Detention Basin construction projects.

This meeting aims to inform residents about the status of the upcoming construction projects in Brays Bayou and share project information. The bridges and basin projectsfocus on increasing the channel and stormwater storage capacity along the bayou to reduce the risk of flooding in the area.

The Meyergrove project will be funded with bonds approved by Harris County voterson August 25, 2018. Community engagement is an essential component of the Bond Program, and we invite your participation as the program is implemented.

The meeting will begin with a brief presentation to share project updates, followed by a moderated Q&A session with Flood Control District team members. Residents will be able to submit questions and comments throughout the presentation. Any comments not addressed during the Q&A session will receive a response after the event.
