The Clear Creek Federal Flood Risk Management Project has reached an important milestone. In June 2026, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers approved the project’s revised plan. Pending completion of the National Environmental Policy Act process, the Harris County Flood Control District expects to issue a Request for Qualifications for final design services in Q3 2026.
Final design will include preparation of detailed construction plans, technical specifications, permitting documents, and cost estimates needed to advertise and construct project components. The Flood Control District will oversee this work in coordination with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
