About this Project
The Genoa Red Bluff Regional Stormwater Detention Basin – Phase 2 project will construct two dry-bottom compartments on approximately 227 acres. A stormwater detention basin temporarily holds stormwater during heavy rain events to help reduce the risk of flooding in the area.
The stormwater detention basin is designed to hold approximately 1,100 acre-feet of stormwater. That is roughly the equivalent of covering 1,100 football fields with one foot of water.
