About this Project
The Isom Stormwater Detention Basin Project is designed to provide approximately 576 acre-feet of stormwater storage capacity — that is roughly the equivalent of 576 football fields covered in one foot of water.
This expansion project will combine two existing stormwater detention basins and add adjacent land to expand the project’s overall footprint to create one large stormwater detention basin.
A stormwater detention basin temporarily holds stormwater during heavy rain events to help reduce the risk of flooding in the area.
