About this Project
The Stormwater Detention Basin along Jackson Bayou is designed to provide approximately 13.5 acre-feet of stormwater storage capacity — that is roughly the equivalent of 13 football fields covered in one foot of water.
A stormwater detention basin temporarily holds stormwater during heavy rain events to help reduce the risk of flooding in the area.
